1、 Regular inspections

Regular inspection of shelves is an important step in ensuring their service life. The inspection should include the stability of the overall structure, the integrity of each component, and the presence of rust, deformation, or wear. It is recommended to conduct routine inspections once a month and in-depth inspections once a quarter.

2、 Cleaning and maintenance

Keeping the shelves clean is the key to preventing rust and other damage. The shelves should be cleaned regularly to remove dust and debris. For parts that are difficult to clean, specialized cleaning agents can be used. When cleaning, avoid using strong acidic or alkaline cleaning agents to avoid damaging the shelves.

3、 Anti corrosion treatment

For metal shelves, regular anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out, such as applying anti rust paint, galvanizing, etc. If rust is found on the shelves, they should be cleaned promptly and re treated for corrosion prevention.

4、 Anti collision measures

In order to prevent damage to the shelves caused by collisions, the placement of goods should be reasonably planned to avoid pressure on the shelves caused by excessively high or overweight goods. In special circumstances, protective railings or cushioning pads can be added to reduce the impact of collisions on the shelves.

5、 Dust and moisture prevention

Dust and moisture prevention measures should be taken for the shelves stored in the warehouse. Maintain good ventilation in the warehouse, regularly clean the dust inside the warehouse, and for humid environments, add dehumidification equipment to ensure that the shelves are in a dry environment.

6、 Fastener inspection

The fasteners on the shelves, such as screws, nuts, etc., should be inspected regularly to ensure that they are securely fastened. If there is any looseness, it should be tightened in a timely manner. If there are damaged or ineffective fasteners, they should be replaced in a timely manner.

7、 Adjustment and replacement

If any part of the shelf is found to be loose, deformed, or damaged, it should be adjusted or replaced in a timely manner. For severely damaged or aged components, they should be replaced immediately to avoid causing greater safety hazards.

8、 Professional maintenance team

To ensure the normal operation and service life of the shelves, it is recommended to hire a professional maintenance team for regular maintenance and upkeep. They possess professional knowledge and skills to promptly identify and solve potential problems, providing comprehensive protection for shelves.
